We believe in insightful strategically-focused creativity.
We work at the intersection of writing, design, thinking and ideation.
We collaborate and thrive on positive, energising human interactions.
Creating new patterns, inspiring ideas, connecting everything.
We follow our curiosity, ask questions and share the stories worth telling.
Mike Hewlett started life as a journalist working as a features writer for titles including Time Out, Evening Standard and Arena, and as a football reporter for most UK newspapers.
In 1999, he joined Imagination – the world’s largest independent global creative agency – where he went on to learn his craft and to develop over a decade of experience in brand, product and leadership communications. Mike was then approached by Ted Baker to become their Head of Creative in 2010, where he applied his flair for strategic thinking, brand storytelling and creative direction across dozens of retail and digital projects.
In 2014, Inkling was established to offer some of the world’s leading agencies and brands an opportunity to tap into an impressive breadth of expertise and independent creative talents. With Mike’s strategic and creative guardianship applied to every project, we team up to dream up fresh ideas and unique experiences across many channels and sectors – from automotive to pharma, fashion to technology.
